Pakistani Badminton Players Gear up for Malaysian Event
Temur Arab and Irfan Saeed of Pakistan have already left for an upcoming Under 19 badminton event that will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The duo were among the privileged players who got the chance to participate in the World Under-19 Championships which will take place at Alor Setar Kedah, Malaysia later this month. Prior to this event, the duo will be attending a training camp to test their badminton supplies which also happens at the same location.
Both Saeed and Arab were chosen by the officials of the Badminton Asia Confederation to participate in the comprehensive Training Camp. The sessions have already started on October 7 and will end by October 26. The shuttlecock action at the singles events of the World Junior Badminton Championships will take place from October 28 to November 1.
Their travel was sponsored by Badminton Asia Confederation, thanks to their very impressive performances at the Asian Under 19 Championships which was held in Kuala Lumpur three months ago.
Aside from that, having two Pakistani players in this prestigious competition is a clear indication that the said Asian country is now a force to reckon with when it comes to international badminton competitions. Pakistan Badminton Federation is now coming up with much rigid training regimen to the players in order to become more competitive in both local and international badminton events. The federation is headed by Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri.
